BST Performance Testing
Oyster Basket
BST oyster supplies performance testing of a new supplied plastic oyster basket. It was recommend that the cage undergo drop weight and compressive type testing to the sample after it underwent Salt spray fog exposure.See below for sample conditioning and test results.

Conclusions
The supplied sample showed no signs of permanent breakage after drop load testing, compressive fatigue testing and ultimate compressive load testing. The sample showed signs of buckling along the sides, but the material webbing and latches stayed intact and no permanent breakage or splitting within the cage was observed. It is recommended that an old oyster basket with UV exposure is put through the same test regime.
T Clip & Lanyard Testing
Work Scope
- Neutral Salt Spray Test (Appendix A)*
- Tension Load test on Lanyard
- Tension Load test on Lanyard and T Clip assembly
- Tension Load test on T Clip
- Torque test on T Clip
Prior to load ttesting, the samples were conditioned using a salt spray fog exposure environment to replicate the environment that the parts must perform in.
